Quechua Forclaz 900 Men’s Hiking Trouser – Long Term User Review

This is a long term user review from one of my favourite trousers for hiking, the Quechua Forclaz 900. I have been using the Quechua Forclaz 900 trouser since the end of 2013 and I have been extremely satisfy. Worn on multiple mountain ascents, such as Mount Olympus, Vardousia Mountain, Taygetos Mountain, this pair of trousers is very versatile and durable enough for various mountaineering activities. For my activities this is one of my main clothing items that I always wear from November till April.

Quechua TECHFRESH 50 Men’s Hiking T-Shirt Review

Quechua is a sub-brand of the Decathlon brand. Is perhaps one of the most successful -not High-End- brand in the hiking world. I personally own several Quechua products such as trousers (review will follow up in the future), day backpacks, small backpacks, sweaters and T-Shirts etc. One of my favourite items is the TechFresh 50 T-Shirt.

Quechua Arpenaz 10 Backpack Review

The Quechua Arpenaz 10l is a 10 litre day pack that is extremely lightweight (175g / 6oz) and water repellent. The bag has one large compartment and a smaller pouch on the front. It also has two loops on each strap that are listed as “thumb loops”. I think these could also be used for ice picks or hiking sticks. You could also use them for hanging extra gear with a carabiner. I found that the loops were quite handy for using as a makeshift sternum strap. You thread the loose ends of the straps through the loops and tie them together to hold them in place.
